Montessori Wooden 100 Counting Board with Wood Balls

Playtime is learning time with this traditional Montessori Kindergarten Wooden Toy Hundred Board by Mirus Toys.

A Hundred Board helps children learn to count up to 100. The wooden balls are placed on the board in sequence from 1 to 100, introducing the decimal system and enabling the exploration of number patterns. The numerals are engraved in the board.

This board has been modified to allow open-ended play. Try some of these ideas:

• Place balls in holes first with fingers, and then with tongs to build fine-motor skills
• Practice simple counting exercises
• Practice forming patterns within the board
• Practice adding and subtracting by adding balls and taking some away
• Introduce multiplication and division by placing balls in different rows and counting
